Berwick was a great time. ACR did another fantastic job with the second race of the series. The new owner of Berwick put in a lot of improvements to the track - making it much wider and putting in a new watering system.

The ride from Haverhill, MA to the Berwick, PA track took about 6 hours. As last time, the ride was totally un-eventful, but it was a lot more enjoyable because my father-in-law went with me. We talked and listened to Sirius Radio as the miles rolled by.

We arrived early at the track - about 2:30 pm on Friday. We were the first there, and we decided to walk the track. We were both suprised that the track had as many uphills and downhills as it did. After the walk we set up camp. Around 3:30, the next person rolled in.

A guy by the name of Chris (Chili Pepper) was the first person that we talked with - and he invited us for dinner. Chili rolled out dinner at 7:30 Friday night and it was amazing! That guy can cook. After dinner and great conversation with Chili and others we turned in for the night.

Saturday was a perfect race day, with temps in the 60's and lots of sun. Pratice was a little muddy but the track really shaped up nicely. I wanted to race in the Vintage 80's Open class and the Evolution Open class, but my 1980 RM250 had other ideas - the stator decided to go out! Oh well, that's racing with bikes that are 27 years old. Got a 3th and a 7th for 5th overall in the Vintage 80's class, and 2 DNS in the Evolution Open class.
