VINTAGE MOTOCROSS HAS ME HOOKED! SOUTHWICK, MA - RACE 6 OF THE 2007 ACR SEASON

If you want to see why both bikes broke down, you can read all about it on my blog. The short and sweet of it is that I managed to pull off 4 DNFs for the day and packed up early.

A couple of cool things happened during the day, even though racing was a bust. First, I got to meet Joe Abbate of Joe Abbate's Cycle Therapy

Joe and I had traded some email back and forth about a rear wheel I had aquired with a pile of parts I got for a RM125 I am rebuilding. Joe saw my plea for help on the ACRMX message boards and was able to identify the wheel - and he needed it for projects he had going.

Joe is an interesting guy and I traded him the wheel for some knowledge I needed - seemed like a fair trade to me!

Second, I got to chat with Mike Bell, 1980 Supercross champ. Down to earth nice guy - that is still really fast. I did not bother him with any autograph requests - I am just glad I got to meet him.

Next race will be on September 1st at Englishtown, NJ

SEE YOU AT THE RACES!
